Installation

•     Close all the open applications.
•     Insert the installation CD.
•     If your system doesn’t automatically start the installation program, do the following; otherwise skip to the next step.

o       Double click on “My Computer” icon on your desktop.
o       Double click on your CD ROM drive (CD icon).
o       Double click on “cdsetup.exe” and this will start the installation process.

•     Click on "Install Internet Explorer" button.
•     Read and accept the license agreement. Click "Next"
•     The typical installation is checked by default. Press the "Next" button.
•     Wait while the components are getting installed on your system. Once done, press the "Finish" button. Your computer may be rebooted now.

Getting Connected

After your installation is complete, do the following:

•     Double-click on the "CAL Internet Services" icon on your desktop area.
•     Enter the user name and password. Check the "Save Password" box, if you want the program to save your password.
•     Push the "Properties" button. Enter the local area phone number provided to you at the time of sign up (please check with your local phone company to make sure that the call is toll free).
•     Push the "OK" button.
•     Push the "Connect" button. After you have successfully connected to CALIS, open your Internet Explorer browser by double-clicking on the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop area. Now you can surf the Internet.

Outlook Express Setup

After your installation is complete, do the following:

•     Double-click on the "Outlook Express" icon on your desktop area.
•     When prompted, enter the name you want to appear on the outgoing e-mails you send.
•     Type your e-mail address (username@calis.com).
•     Verify that the POP3 server is selected and that mail.calis.com appears in the Incoming and Outgoing mail server text boxes. Push the "Next" button.
•     Enter your password and check the "Remember Password" box. Push the "Next" button.
•     Push the "Finish" button.
