Viewing Email Placed in SPAM Folder Using Web Mail

To start, please log on to the Internet by double-clicking on the shortcut to CAL Internet Services that should be located on your desktop. Verify that your username and password are correct and then click on Connect with your mouse.

*** If your e-mail client (in most cases Outlook Express) is open, please close it completely.***

Once you are connected to the Internet, you will want to open up your browser (in most cases Internet Explorer), and visit our website at http://www.calis.com/wm/imp/.

Enter the username and password that correspond with your e-mail account. (For example if your e-mail address is youraddress@calis.com, your username would be youraddress and it would not include the @calis.com.) Then click the Log In button to open your Web Mail Account.

In the top right-hand corner of your inbox you should see an option for Open Folder with an open manilla folder icon to the right. Just to the right of that icon, you should see a white drop-down menu with a downward facing arrow. Please use your mouse to click on the arrow and select the SPAM folder by highlighting the option in blue.

Once you have opened the folder for SPAM you will want to review the messages by clicking on the underlined From or Subject fields.

You will want to keep in mind that each message located in this folder will automatically be deleted 7 days after the message was received. If you recognize a name in the from field, and after reviewing the message you decide that you would like to keep it, then you must move the message to the Inbox.

To do so click on the drop-down arrow to the right of the white box that reads "This message to", select the INBOX by clicking on the option with your mouse. Once INBOX is highlighted in blue, use your mouse and click on the link for Move just to the left of where it should now read INBOX.

Once INBOX is highlighted in blue, use your mouse and click on the link for Move just to the left of where it should now read INBOX.

When you are finished, click on the link for INBOX to view the list of e-mail messages that will be downloaded to your PC the next time you open your e-mail client (Outlook Express in most cases). When you are ready to log off of Web Mail, please use your mouse to click on the icon of the door that is labeled Logout.

***Please keep in mind that you cannot have Outlook Express open while you log into Web Mail due to the fact that a lock will be placed on your e-mail account and you will not be able to make any changes to either mailbox.***
